The Latent Fingerprint Examiner performs all aspects of latent print identification to support criminal investigations within the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO). Primary duties include analyzing, comparing, and evaluating latent prints; preparing detailed reports on findings; and providing expert testimony when required. Employees in this classification perform highly technical and administrative work requiring precision, scientific rigor, and strict adherence to legal and professional standards.
