Salary: $63,423.10 Annually

This position will be a part of the Digital Forensic Program within the GBI investigative Division; however, position will be housed/located in Albany, Georgia.
The selected candidate will be required to meet the residency requirements of the assigned Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office in Albany, Georgia.
Under close/general supervision, assists in investigating criminal activity by performing digital forensic examinations of data stored on electronic devices. Documents and reports findings of examination for requesting law enforcement agencies. Maintains knowledge of current technology and best practices to extract digital data in an accepted technical manner that ensures the preservation of or prevents the destruction of potential evidence. The incumbent's responsibilities will consist of providing expert testimony in court regarding electronically stored information. In addition, provides technical guidance and assistance to law enforcement officials involved in investigations.
