The Alaska Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory provides scientific support to the criminal justice system to help create a safer Alaska. The Forensic Scientist 4 position must exemplify this culture within the chemistry section through leadership and example.
The Alaska Scientific Crime Detection laboratory invites forensic scientists and forensic science supervisors to join a mission-driven community that values professionalism, and public service. Members of the supervisor team are granted substantial autonomy when making decisions for the disciplines they lead. Work schedule start times are flexible (6AM-9:30AM) with each day being 8 hours, Monday-Friday. The laboratory will provide on the job continuing education and training opportunities with a focus on leadership, quality assurance, and technical content related to the discipline supervised.
