To analyze, compare, evaluate and verify (ACE-V) known and unknown friction ridge impressions and perform related work; to perform professional work involved in the development, collection and preservation of friction ridge impressions and known print impressions from physical evidence and/or living and deceased individuals; provides demonstrative expert testimony in court. Under direction, incumbents provide technical guidance and leadership to others in latent print analysis; latent print processing; and perform the most difficult latent print examinations.
Duties
Under direction, incumbents provide technical guidance and leadership to others assigned to friction ridge analysis; latent print processing; and perform friction ridge analysis, determine usability for entry into the Sheriff's Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), and provide expert testimony in court.Earn a Degree in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Science, or Computer Forensics
