The use of a magnetic applicator permits the user to develop latent prints on any non-ferrous surface without the risk of latent print ridge destruction because the magnetic powder forms the brush. Therefore, excessive force during the application of powder is eliminated. One main advantage of this system is that it is easy to clear surfaces of excess powder, offering maximum photographic effectiveness, and the same magnetic powder can be reused again and again.
Similar in tone to standard black latent print powder, Black Magnetic Powder is recommended for use with a magnetic applicator in dusting glossy papers (such as magazine covers), tissue paper, rough or polished wood, leather, plastics, glass, and rubber.
