Duties:

The selected Fingerprint Technician Trainees will be responsible for:
  • Taking fingerprints of persons arrested or convicted of criminal offenses, applying for licenses, and of candidates seeking employment and promotion;
  • Classifying fingerprints in accordance with established methods and procedures, and searching fingerprint databases for the purpose of comparing fingerprints with any prior fingerprints on file
  • Assisting other law enforcement personnel in obtaining information regarding criminal histories, arrest reports and other related information

Requirements:

Minimum Qual Requirements
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.

Preferred Skills

Candidates should have:
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs,
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer services skills,
  • A strong commitment to excellent and attention to detail,
  • Strong multitasking and prioritizing skills,
  • Ability to pay attention to details,
