Forensic Evidence Technician - Crime Scene

Salary: $21.34 per hour

Duties:

Under general supervision, provides photographic documentation of crime scenes, collects, and preserves physical evidence.
Performs a variety of types of analysis of evidence that may be collected at a crime scene in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and department/division policy.
Enforces federal, state, and local laws as necessary.
Works under stressful, sometimes dangerous situations.
Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Requirements:

High school graduate and two years experience as a commissioned law enforcement officer preferred.
Must complete required training and be certified by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
Must maintain the required level of skill in the use of firearms.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must be in good physical condition.
Position will require a credit check and polygraph test.
