The Denver Police Department Crime Laboratory is seeking applicants for a Forensic Scientist I position in the Forensic Biology/DNA Unit. This is a limited position with an expected end date of December 31, 2023.
This position performs forensic casework on evidentiary materials, including the evaluation and examination of physical evidence to include analysis of biological stains, development of forensic DNA profiles, preparation of case reports and files, and expert witness testimony in courts of law. This position performs intermediate level professional forensic work while receiving on-the-job training in the methods, practices, procedures, and equipment of forensic science by applying physical sciences to the investigation of crimes and conducting scientific laboratory analyses on physical evidence.
