Duties:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis (serology, DNA) on evidentiary items submitted in conjunction with criminal investigations and/or death investigations.
  • Provide court testimony associated with analytical casework.
  • Maintain DNA equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assist with method validations and QA activities.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
  • DNA Analyst I: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field with successful coursework in molecular biology, biochemistry, population genetics, and statistics.
  • DNA Analyst II: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field with successful coursework in molecular biology, biochemistry, population genetics, and statistics and a minimum of at least 3 years of forensic DNA casework as a signing analyst with certification.
