The Evidence Officer performs tasks in a wide range of situations in law enforcement field work, not requiring peace officer status. Primary responsibilities revolve around the proper collection, processing, cataloging, preservation and storage of wide variety of police evidence.
The Evidence Officer’s duty is to support and assist police officers, detectives and other department personnel in collecting, photographing, preserving, processing and documentation of evidence at routine, as well as complex crime scenes.
