The general duties and responsibilities of a Fingerprint Technician include:
  • Operating the Integra-ID device. Analyzing fingerprints based on image quality, pattern type, and the placement of core and axis.
  • Conducting verifications of side-by-side fingerprint images to determine positive identification or non-identification.
  • Assigning primary and reference pattern types to ten print submissions to ensure the accuracy of the Integra-ID search and storage processing.
  • Quality control of all mailed in prints for sequencing acceptance.

  • Full-time employment - 40 hour work week.
  • Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.


  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience in the identification and non-identification of individuals through fingerprint and palm print examination, comparison, and verification; OR successful completion of the fingerprint identification course offered by the Pennsylvania State Police.

  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • You must pass a background investigation.
Requirement Profile:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) Certificate
