Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs advanced sophisticated collection, analysis, and evaluation of evidence utilizing standardized and industry acceptable techniques.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and quality control procedures.
  • May conduct education instruction on lab procedures used by the County.
  • May participate in independent research.
  • May provide technical assistance to law enforcement agencies.
  • May recommend changes to lab procedures.
  • Prepares written reports and is prepared to testify at court proceedings.
  • Performs other related duties involved in the operation of the Medical Examiner's Office as assigned or required.

Requirements:

TO APPLY,
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Toxicology, Medical Technology, or in related sciences.
  • Must have Four (4) full-time years of work experience in a forensic toxicology laboratory.
