Duties:

  • Handle blood and urine evidence, perform immunoassay screening, perform solid-phase or liquid-liquid extractions, prepare chemical reagents, assist crime laboratory analysts and perform administrative duties as requested.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor or advanced degree in physical, biological or forensic science from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of terminology and techniques used in the forensic laboratory.
  • Skill in the preparation of reagents and the use of scientific laboratory equipment.
  • Knowledge of the procedure for packaging, handling and preserving evidence.
  • Ability to give sworn testimony in court.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
