Gainesville Police Department is seeking a Latent Print Examiner to perform advanced level technical work analyzing, comparing and evaluating friction ridge impressions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing friction ridge impressions and determining value for comparison and/or making entries into the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS); comparing friction ridge impressions with known impressions in accordance with established guidelines and accepted best forensic practices; evaluating the data and makes appropriate conclusions regarding findings; and preparing reports and forwarding results to appropriate personnel and/or agencies.To be considered for this career opportunity you must have
