Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking two qualified applicants for one full-time and one part-time position as a Latent Fingerprint Examiner. Major job duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for encoding inked and latent prints into a regional computerized fingerprint system; processing inked and livescan fingerprints to confirm identity; completes evaluating latent print impressions collected as evidence; complete complex investigations on cases assigned utilizing the latest latent techniques to solve criminal cases, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and at least six years of job related experience, to include law enforcement experience. Preference given to those with Virginia State Police Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) Certification.
