This position is located in the Forensic Toxicology Unit within the Criminalist Services Division at the Forensic Science Center in Edmond. The is a grant-funded, limited term position in the unclassified service. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Accurately and completely test, analyzes, and interprets forensic evidence in compliance with laboratory testing protocols.
  • Completely and accurately documents chain of custody, laboratory analysis, quality control.
  • Testifies as a highly qualified forensic expert in court and at administrative hearings about the scientific analysis.
  • Maintains documented, accurate, and complete control of chain of custody over evidence.
  • Develops and maintains highly advanced scientific and technical skills.


  • Requirements include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science, or a closely related natural science. Candidates must have successfully completed General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry I and, Organic Chemistry II.
