Duties:

  • This position reports to the Division of Information and Business Solutions in Columbia.
  • Incumbent is responsible the overall security of the agency information systems.
  • Operates and maintains various security appliances such as network, web application, and email firewalls, intrusion protection, and network access control devices.
  • Audits server and workstation security configurations and works closely with server support staff to take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Assists with policy enforcement, forensic investigations, and other security related functions.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of security administration for various operating systems and software.
  • Ability to write detailed technical documentation on security procedures.
  • Knowledge of project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
  • Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP).
