The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office and Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory has established an internship program, which provides training in a number of forensic program areas such as; Drug chemistry, Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Photography, Toxicology, and Trace Evidence Investigation. Interns will also have minor exposure to other forensic disciplines while participating in their specific internship experience. The program will be structured to meet the needs of Forensic Science majors that require an internship as part of their core curriculum and/or students wishing to pursue a career in Forensic Science. The program will provide students a hands on learning opportunity to learn about a variety of technical and best practices in the field of forensic science.
Responsibilities of Forensic Interns will vary based on the intern’s field of interest. Some academic programs require students to complete a forensic project during their internship. Every effort will be made to facilitate the completion of such a project.
