SNA International is looking for smart, collaborative Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Analysts to join our team. SNA International’s team works together in pursuit of the same cause: build a safe and just world by empowering organizations in the use of human identification and forensic science.

Duties:

  • The successful candidate will use NGS techniques to process a wide range of complex samples in support of forensic operations in Dover, DE.
  • The NGS Analyst will be responsible for performing NGS analysis of forensic evidence in accordance with laboratory accreditation and standard operating procedures.
  • The NGS Analyst is critical to the successful laboratory operation and will be required to work collaboratively and productively with laboratory staff and management.
  • The ability to prioritize casework in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on excellent customer service is a must.

Requirements:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience performing NGS analysis.
  • Special consideration will be granted to those with forensic DNA laboratory experience.
  • Candidates are required to have a B.S. or M.S. degree in a physical or life science with coursework in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and statistics/population genetics.
  • The successful candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work well in a team laboratory environment.
  • Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
