Duties: Supports the Biometrics Task Force in Arlington, Virginia in its role as the Department of Defenses' Executive Manager of Biometrics by providing subject matter expertise and decision support for Department of Defense coordination of DoD DNA initiatives, with respect to biometrics across DoD Components. Provides decision support and analysis on DoD DNA policy, DNA science and technology developments, and participates in working groups on behalf of the BTF involving DoD DNA discussions.

Major Duties Include:

  • Subject matter expertise and decision support for Science and Technology coordination and engineering support analysis of DNA capabilities under development.
  • Providing decision support in regards to battlefield and traditional law enforcement forensic functions of material recognition, collection, preservation, analysis, documentation, storage and sharing.
  • Providing analysis and decision support on operational forensics capabilities and management processes, as well as, strategic forensics capability development.
  • Support and coordination of DNA initiatives in regards to, inter-Agency and international capability coordination of inter-operability, standards, data-sharing policies and architecture, technology development, acquisition and TTPs across mission sets and customer bases.
  • Participate in DoD/IA/Intl/NGO DNA working groups
  • Participate in DoD/IA/Intl/NGO meetings and conferences to develop policy, coordinate integrated operational architecture, and coordinate joint, inter-agency and combined (international) technology projects.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate and 1 year experience; OR
    Master's Degree and 3 years experience; OR
    Bachelor's Degree or higher and 5 years experience; OR
    Associate's Degree and 10 years experience; OR
    High School/GED and 15 years experience
  • Must be willing to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must currently have or be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Arlington, VA area.
