Chief Forensic Print Analyst Hillsborough County, Florida Sheriff's Office
In anticipation of the retirement of our Chief Forensic Print Analyst on January 9, 2009, we are seeking applications of qualified applicants that are IAI Certified.
Salary: $55,619.00 - $85,280.00 per year

Duties: Include, but are not limited to, supervising the work of the Latent Print Unit staff by applying sound supervisory principles and techniques in building and maintaining an effective work force, evaluation and comparison of latent prints, making presentations as an expert witness in court, entering latent prints into AFIS and IAFIS, evaluating new technology and equipment for purchase, preparing reports, and related duties as required.
Requirements: Applicants should be skilled in all areas of print identification, have an extensive knowledge of advanced latent print identification techniques with an ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing), considerable knowledge of chemical analysis techniques in print identification, considerable knowledge of crime scene investigation methods and techniques. Minimum qualifications are a four year degree with 3 years of experience, a two year degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience. All applicants must have a valid Certification as a Latent Print Examiner by the Board of the International Association for Identification (IAI).
