Duties: The St Cloud Police Department is seeking a qualified individual to lead the Crime Lab. Upon appointment, the Forensic Specialist will immediately become actively involved in the planning and development of the crime lab in a new police facility.
Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Criminalistics, Physics, Criminal Justice, or equivalent; certified or eligible to become certified by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Level I Crime Scene Investigator and in Latent Print Certification; and possession of or ability to obtain a valid Minnesota driver's license. Also must have 2 to 3 years progressively responsible experience in a forensics or evidence lab.
